Gabriela Janteková
Gabriela Janteková, a dedicated dental medicine student with a passion for volunteering, has expanded her supportive endeavors beyond Roma associations and foster families to include the food bank initiative of the Karvina Sustainably organization. By doing so, she directly contributes to achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal number 2 (SDG 2) - Zero Hunger. Her involvement encompasses collecting and distributing food, raising awareness about food waste, and promoting sustainable agriculture practices.
Through her work at the food bank, Gabriela bridges the gap between her academic knowledge and practical activities, demonstrating that anyone can contribute to a better world regardless of their field of study or professional path. Her commitment not only addresses immediate community needs but also educates and inspires others to take part in social projects and seek innovative solutions for sustainable development.
Gabriela's efforts highlight the importance of community engagement in addressing global challenges such as hunger and environmental sustainability. She exemplifies how individual actions, when aligned with broader goals like the SDGs, can have a significant impact on local and global scales. Her approach encourages a holistic view of sustainability, where health, education, and environmental stewardship are interconnected.
